The Big Debut

Talk about knowing how to make an ENTRANCE! Eva Roselle sure knows how to keep things exciting for her parents. It was a Thursday morning & her Mom thought she had plenty of time to prepare for the arrival of her baby girl whose due date was still 5 weeks away. She goes into work thinking that it's just another day closer to her maternity leave when all of a sudden her water breaks! YES, right there at work, in the lobby! In just a few short hours later, she delivered this little bundle of love.

Yay! She's small enough to fit into my Pho bowl nicely!

She looks pretty comfortable here don't you think?

This little piggy went to the market...

Who do you think you're looking at lady?

Sound asleep without a care in the world.

The Happiest Baby on the Block?

Oh stop! I know I'm pretty! You don't have to keep telling me.

Sometimes life throws you a curveball or two, you just have to keep catching them and if you're lucky you'll end up with a Sweet Butterball like Eva.

Eva, I wish you a lifetime of  love, joy & happiness. Please don't grow up to quickly, instead try to enjoy all that life has to offer and focus on the good times! ~Love Auntie Fawn

Daddy's Little Girl

Meet the sweet Serena Rose. During our session she cried a bit, but once she got comfortable in her Daddy's arms she was nice & calm. Being only a few days old, I think she was still getting used to being outside of the womb. Life can be a bit scary when there's so many new sights & sounds to think about. But not to worry, little one, your parents & big brother Nathan will be right by your side through it all.

Look at all 10 piggies!

Nathan is such a wonderful big brother to Serena already. When she cries he'll run right up to her side & gently kiss her. I love how he instinctively knows that he should play quietly instead of being the rambunctious boy that I know he normally is.

Herding Cats...

Lately, I've been doing a lot of family photos for clients to make their holiday card deadlines. So I figured it was time I took some photos of my own family. So starting around Halloween or so of last year, I had this GRAND idea of getting my immediate family together for a nice normal family portrait session. Just imagine HERDING CATS!

Emails were exchanged as to what color we should wear, how formal or casual we'll go. Some people were responsive, some were not responsive at all. People! There are only 7 of us in the family! I can't imagine what will happen once we start growing. Let's see if we can keep this tradition going year after year. Wish me luck!

In the end, I guess overall it worked out.

We look presentable enough here.

The men in my life.

My favorite ladies.

A Sweet Little Package in Time for the Holidays...

Meet Kiran & Chandru who just a few months ago were eagerly awaiting their first bundle of joy.

Momma to be was glowing from head to toes!

Grandparents to be eagerly flew in from India to wait for their grand daughter's arrival.

Arya arrives just 2 days after Thanksgiving. Right on time to join in on the holiday festivities.

She was a little bit sleepy.

Zzzzzz....

Can someone feed me already? I'm tired of posing.

Oh, is that food I see?

Happy & content.

Sunshine on a Rainy Day

Meet my two favorite spunky girls, Jemma & Lauryn. Their Mom told me that the night before their photoshoot, they stayed up to think of poses that they wanted to do for me. I think their preparation paid off big time. What do you think?
Let's see who can jump the highest?
It's was so sweet to see how much love they have for one another.
Hot pink rain boots will brighten up any rainy day.
This was hilarious. I told them to splash water on each other & they turned to their Mom & screamed, "Eww!" Than slowly & daintily they splashed a little bit of water on one another. Jemma was very careful with her splash & made sure that she didn't get any mud on her sister's white vest. Gotta love GIRLS!

I think this was Jemma's tough girl pose.

Proof that my husband is hilarious, but ONLY to adults.

This is probably going in her HS yearbook.

Lauryn, I think you're the fearless one with your questions & ideas on what we should do next.

During the photo shoot I learned that Jemma is quick to come to her little sister's defense when she thinks she might get in trouble for something. What an awesome big sister!

Here's a quote that pretty much sums up my relationship with my little sister:

"Sister. She is your mirror, shining back at you with a world of possibilities. She is your witness, who sees you at your worst and best, and loves you anyway. She is your partner in crime, your midnight companion, someone who knows when you are smiling, even in the dark. She is your teacher, your defense attorney, your personal press agent, even your shrink. Some days, she's the reason you wish you were an only child." - Barbara Alpert.

Ready for the HOWLIDAYS?

Yep, the holidays are just around the corner. Have you booked your family portrait session yet? It's not to late for holiday photo e-cards but if you want actual cards to send out you'll definitely have to rush the order.

I know how busy life can get, but trust me on this one, family photos are one of the things you'll cherish the most in the years to come. When you book your session, please don't forget to include your fur family members.

Meet Dexter & his family. As you can see from the photos below he is one well loved pup, and quite photogenic to.

Dexter was the life of the party!

He smiled on command!

Bette, Shareen & Greg conjuring up the holiday spirits.

Dexter was pretty happy just hanging out with his parents.

This was his more serious look.

 Just chillin

This one is my absolute favorite. Happy HOWLIDAYS everyone!

Just A Little Camera Shy

RJ is only 2 yrs old and he already knows how to AVOID the camera big time! When the camera is pointed straight at him, he'll just glance the other way. Look at the ground, look at the sky, anything to get the camera out of his face. But his expressive eyes made for some pretty awesome photos. I'm sorry for torturing you with my big old camera RJ!

In a few months you're going to be a big brother!

No more pictures please!

So loved

RJ's happy parents

I think he had a good time even though you can't really tell by his pouty face.

His smile just lights up everything!
