Last Engagement Shoot of the Year...

Greg & I are thrilled that our good friends Dany & Nicole are getting married next year! For their engagement shoot, they wanted a location that was symbolic to their lifestyle. Here's a couple who enjoys good food, good wine & good friends. So what better place to go than Napa? Wow! It was the perfect day for an engagement shoot. Luckily for them, the colors of Napa are still gorgeous this time of the year. Most of the leaves in the vineyards were gone, but our stop at Regusci, one of our all time favorites, yielded some gorgeous photos. Take a look & see for yourself...

The lighting here was incredible!

Ahh... finally we're at Regusci!

Stay tuned...

Brotherly Love

Life is much more interesting and FUN when you have a brother to conspire with. A brother is a constant companion for all the ups & downs of growing up. Toys, superhero action figures, hot wheels, board games... you'll never have to go knocking on the neighbor's door to have someone to play with.

Of course you never realize how lucky you are until you're much older & look back to your childhood days.

Here's a beautiful family with a set of brothers who are to cute for words.

Archer's adorable pose. He come up with this one all on his own.

Axton told me this is his favorite way to smile for the camera.
I love how affectionate they are with each other here.

Lock 'em Up: Tiannah & Terry

We had such a wonderful time this past weekend capturing Tiannah & Terry's wedding at the Cline Celler in Sonoma, CA. The setting was gorgeous, the outdoor ceremony took place just a few steps away from a beautiful man-made lake, where there were exotic birds in cages. The reception was right inside the barrel room with lights beautifully strung and floral arrangements with candlelight to create the prefect intimate atmosphere. Tiannah personalized the day with plenty of thoughtful details. From "I Do" blingy rhinestones stuck to the bottom of her shoes to super hero t-shirts for the groom & groomsman, they even had a 120 year old type writer for guests to leave sweet messages for the newlyweds. Diesel, the couple's dog, served as a ring bearer and strolled down the isle without any hesitation.

Superheroes to the rescue! Can you name all of them?
The beautiful bridesmaids
Hahah... we tried to replicate the Bridesmaid movie pose. Sassy right?
Chloe & Diesel were soo cute! (Chloe's dress was Tiannah's vintage flower girl dress at her aunt's wedding years ago.)
Diesel stayed up there with his parents the entire time.
Yep, they had real hand cuffs.

Oh BABY!

Edison & Reyna are two of the sweetest people I've ever met. Their happy-go-lucky attitudes during our session made it so easy for me to capture this monumental moment in their lives. They brought out the best in each other & it was obvious that they couldn't wait to meet their little bundle of joy. Congratulations you two!

2 Weeks Later...
Baby Mikaela arrives right on schedule.
Who's gonna have daddy wrapped around her tiny little fingers?
So a couple of days before this shoot, I found this awesome bowl!
It totally made me think of the cabbage patch dolls that I loved growing up...
So here you've got a newborn cabbage patch baby!
I can't be a perfect little angel all the time.
Sweet dreams Mikaela.

Yes, Dad requested this photo as a tribute to the Heisman Trophy. We switched up the angle a bit to better showcase the baby.

A Weekend At the Beach

What a novel idea! To celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary, this set of grandparents rented a house on the beach and called up their children & grandkids for a week of fun in the sand. There's nothing like spending quality time with the ones you love. Too often in life we go through the motions and fail to realize that life is just passing us by. At the end of the day, the small little moments that we share with the ones we love are the precious memories that will last a lifetime. So be sure to take some time out for the the people in your life. Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary & to many years of joy & happiness with the ones you love!
